You no longer WANT to train, You HAVE to!
Over the weekend I was chatting to a friend about finding the motivation to train and how he is currently struggling…
This is a pretty common issue and what I would say is that if it’s important to you you will find the time to get it done!
But, why are you training? What is the goal?
In my opinion, it needs to run deeper then just “I want to look and feel good”.
Set some rock solid goals eg I want to squat my body weight x 10 reps, I want to be able to surf for 1 hour without nearly dying and I want to improve my beep test score by two levels in the Lean Performance group training.
Make the goals specific, measureable and attainable.
Personally, I find entering competitions is a great way to push yourself and offers a deadline for you to adhere to. Once you start to see improvements/ results the motivation to improve and keep going will grow!
Getting started is often the hardest part, setting strong goals will keep you motivated.
When you reach a point where you no longer want to train, you HAVE to train you know it has become a lifestyle!
